BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS The Board of Adjustments is responsible for interpreting and addressing zoning concerns relative to the Kentucky Building Codes and coinciding ordinances. This includes but is not limited to hearing and deciding: *On applications for variances from any dimension contained in this ordinance. *Appeals were it is alleged by appellant that there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, grant, or refusal made by a zoning administrator in the enforcement of this ordinance. *Applications for conditional use permits to allow the proper integration into the community of uses which are specifically named herein, which may be suitable only in specific location in the zone only if certain conditions are met as specified in the Ludlow Zoning Ordinance. *Requests for interpretation of the official zoning map or for decisions upon other special questions upon which the board is authorized to act upon. *Requests for the change from one nonconforming use to another. PARK BOARD The Ludlow Park Board is responsible for the care, management and control of all parks and playgrounds within the city limits. The responsibilities of the Park Board include: *Ensure quality playgrounds for citizens *Ensure park equipment, fields and land are maintained Park Board Meetings: Meetings are held in the rear of the Saint Boniface and James Rectory (304 Oak Street) on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Park and Field Use Permits: Permits may be obtained at the Ludlow City Building located at 51 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY. General Park Rules: (1) All parks close at dusk (2) No glass containers (3) no motorized vehicles (4) no alcoholic beverages permitted
CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD The Ludlow Code Enforcement Board was formed per Ordinance 2002-14 as a means to issue remedial orders and impose civil fines when a violation of an ordinance or code provision has been classified as a civil offense. The purpose of the Code Enforcement Board is to promote public health and safety in the city. This is done by enforcing the most current city and state building codes. Board Meetings: The Ludlow Code Enforcement Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Ludlow City Building located at 51 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY. Submitting Complaints: Complaints, concerns and comments can be submitted to the Ludlow City Building via fax, mail, or in person. Complaints are generally addressed in the order which they are received and are directed toward appropriate parties. Responding to Notices: The most important thing any property owner can do when receiving an Nuisance Code Violation or Citation is to contact the Zoning Administrator immediately to discuss abatement and ensure that contact information is correct. CIVIL SERVICE BOARD The Ludlow Civil Service Board was created to provide testing services for the hiring of Ludlow's Police force and promotions within this department. Testing Information: Ludlow's Civil Service Board meets only as necessary as requested by the Mayor of Ludlow. BOARD OF ETHICS The Board of Ethics was established to enforce the requirement of the city's code of ethics. This includes assuring that standards of ethical conduct and financial disclosure requirements of the city are met and followed. Responsibilities: The Board of Ethics is responsible for investigating and hearing complaints to determine whether or not alleged violations of the city's code of ethics have been violated. Extended responsibilities of this board include but are not limited to: *Issuing orders in connection to findings during investigations. *To over information and opinions to appropriate city officials regarding any possible violations. *To adopt rules and regulations to take other actions to implement the provisions of the city's code of ethics.
